Bug in pages managing with the new release

linkPost by Philippe Mouze » Thu Aug 20, 2015 10:20 am

From beginning of July we are building a new website with WordPress and your template Redwaves.
The look and the architecture were convenient for us. The pages with 1 or several levels were presented like stairs (or escalator). It was clear for our users, and we are thinking to open our website at the beginning of september.
But 10 days ago, you send a new release with a big modification in the pages managing. All pages with different levels (or children) are presented in the same column!
Right now, it’s impossible to work with a PC and a mouse.
Regarding tablets:
- It’s possible to work with an Apple IPad.
-But it’s a problem with the tablet Samsung Tab4. It’s impossible to open any pages when there are other levels (or children) in a page.

Do you think correct these problems?
If yes, what is our planning?

Many thanks to your support

Welcome Philippe!
This is a bug related to the Primary navigation Menu. Some style adjustment will correct it! I shall get it fixed today (or tomorrow at most :) )
Hope you like the new forum design!

Best Regards!

Hey Philippe, I remember that you have told me something about Page Template , If you are using the Full Width page template with one of your pages, you will notice that this page is NOT displaying anything, not even the Title. To fix this please check this topic: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=20

I will give you a fix for the Cascading Menu in the next post.

Here is the fix for the Cascading Menu. Open your style.css file with a code editor. Find this code (line 613 for me):
/*--------------------------------------------------------------
	5.2 Menus
--------------------------------------------------------------*/
Remove all the CSS rules in this category and add these rules:
#sideviewtoggle {
	display: none;
}
.no-menu-msg {
	color: #FFF;
	font-size: 18px;
	line-height: 20px;
	padding: 20px 30px;
	text-align: center;
}
.secondary-navigation {
	width: 100% !important;
	box-shadow: 0 1px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
	-khtml-box-shadow: 0 1px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
	-webkit-box-shadow: 0 1px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
	-moz-box-shadow: 0 1px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
	-ms-box-shadow: 0 1px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
	-o-box-shadow: 0 1px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
}
.main-navigation {
	clear: both;
	display: block;
	float: left;
	width: 100%;
}
.main-navigation ul {
	margin: 0 auto;
	padding: 0;

If you need RTL (Right-to-Left) language support, download the attached rtl.css file and replace it with your default rtl.css file.

These fixes will be added to the next version so don't worry about losing your changes :mrgreen:
